I'm in the same boat - If we don't already have it, we really ought to get a couple of admins, just in case someone gets hit by a bus or takes a googletubless vacation. One other thing - I'm spooked by the way the password is resent in plaintext in the authorization email, w/o any real prompting. Surely that can be disabled, right? -Sean >Date: Wed, 5 Dec 2007 10:08:29 -0600 >From: "Phil Thayer" <phil.thayer(a)vitalsite.com> Maybe they're trying to tell you something? :) > -----Original Message----- > From: kclug-bounces(a)kclug.org > Sent: Wednesday, December 05, 2007 10:05 AM > I registered for the forum a while ago. Good chance of my being at meeting tonight- anyone selling laptops? and network stuff?
by Oren Beck 05 Dec '07

Details at tonight's meeting - but I need at least one modern laptop- Let's again use Beryl capable and a cd burner as minimal first needs. Also needing cheap wifi stuff.. Reply here or bring to meeting as I have some limited funds I'd rather spend the $ on members.

JOBOP: UNIX/Linux/Solaris Admns
by Hal Duston 04 Dec '07

04 Dec '07

Mention my name. Thanks, -- Hal Duston ====================== Forwarded message ===================== We have a client that we work exclusively with here locally. Their headquarters are in Olathe, Ks. They have offices in 21 different states and growing. They are a great company. This client's benefits are incredible. They pay 100% of the employee's and their families insurance (medical, dental, etc.). This company definitely takes care of their employees. The average tenure for employees in this company is 7 to 8 years. People don't like to leave once they have been there. I don't have a formal description because we just heard about it. I should have a more detailed description soon. I wanted to beat everyone to the punch and have candidates ready. The following is what I know at present; they are currently looking for UNIX/Linux/Solaris admins. They work with all the flavors so anyone that has experience with all of them would be good.
