Yo, all your suggestions are VERY good, but alas! you were working
under false pretenses. The memory was in fact NOT PC2700 DDR, but
rather PC2100. Add to this the fact that the motherboard in question
is unable to go below 333MHz - well, you get the picture. Bad idea all
around.

So, I apologize for wasting your time, and communal bashing may
commence.
