The only stupid question is the one left unasked...

The entire situation boils down to a very few salient points,,,

1) The current SCO is actually Caldera after a significant change in ownership
that occured about a year ago.

2) SCO Group is claiming that software that IBM owns, IBM wrote, and IBM
(allegedly) placed into Linux is rightfully theirs, IBM says "Bovine
Scatology" and fires back with a huge patent infringement lawsuit.

3) SCO Group starts employing questionable PR releases and business maneuvers
trying to claim "the high ground" by trying to make people think they have to
pay SCO Group for using Linux.  (Again, Bovine Scatology).

For an evaluation by an attorney familiar with the situation.

If you just want the bottom line...  Linux is in no danger whatsoever and you
will never have to deal with license issues on Linux to the degree that SCO
Group would lead you to believe.
