What's wrong with the market?

I just heard on NPR that unemployment claim are down in the US. (sorry to

Can I just point out that the REASON the economy is in the crapper is
because so many people are out of work and can't pay their BILLs - let
alone go out and BUY stuff.  (Although my wife doesn't understand this
concept any more than the federal government!)
