fips _may_ be able to non destructively resize your partition.  The
major factor in this equation is the pre-existing file system.  If its
a fat partition its relatively safe.  If it's NTFS I'm sure you wont be
able to use fips but will more than likely have to go with a commercial
product.   If anyone out there knows of a freeware / open source
program that can handle NTFS please let us know.
