This module should be already built with your system. Typing in this
command as the superuser should get you going:
/sbin/modprobe 8139too
At least my stock linux kernel (2.4.18) has it. If not, you can use your
kernel sources to build the module. No need to use their driver when its
already with the kernel's own sources.
If you don't have it, you can make it from the kernel's sources and it
goes something like this:
cd /usr/src/linux
make menuconfig
Network device support --->Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit) ---> <M> RealTek
RTL-8139 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter support
make modules
make modules_install
/sbin/modprobe 8139too
and then you can configure the card however you wish, or just to use:
/sbin/dhcpcd
and you are on the internet!
