I have SBLive PCI and just configured it last week. I just did a search
on Freshmeat.net and found this link
http://freshmeat.net/appindex/2000/01/18/948229992.html to a package that
has a has the emu10k1 module and an install script. After running the
script, I just had to insmod emu10k1 and everything worked fine.

I did notice a problem yesterday when trying to play a mp3 with xmms.
Xmms locked up on me and esd would not die. I killed the xmms processes
manually and had to rmmod and insmod the emu10k1 module to get it to work
again. However, I don't know if that incident was caused by xmms or the
emu10k1 module.
