Good Starter Language? (was Re: REALBasic and OpenAL)

Which is probably the same reason so few people know Esperanto. Learn
something useful. Don't learn a language you have no use for.

There are horses for courses...

Tell use what you want to make a computer do, and we can give you a much
better recommendation as to what programming languages you should consider.
