This is comparing a Windows XP only installation with a 
full-boat-and-kitchen-sink Linux distribution, which is hardly reasonable.  
Better to compare it with, for instance, the average Dell or Gateway software 
bundle, which answers everything except the notorious Windows security 
problems.
