Hello, all,
I have asked of you a couple of weeks ago to suggest Spam filter software on
Linux based.
I am using Redhat 8.0 with a horde web mail based on sendmail currently.
I have found a couple of place where it was linked to Apache web site
including http://useast.spamassassin.org/full/2.6x/dist/INSTALL
However, I kind of lost keep track of where I was.
Installing Spamassasin was successful, but somehow, I couldn't receive and
send email after I configure this.
So I renamed the file /home/user/.forward and /home/user/.procmailrc file
into
.forward.old and .promailrc.old
I guess since I am using sendmail, it caused trouble I guess.
I found that there was a really embarrassing situation on my email server.
Somehow, there was a hundred and thousand nasty warm file infected on even
Linux box.
Such as Harry Potter all.e.book.txt.exe
And Britney Spears blowjob.jpg.exe and etc.
on every single directory.
I can't believe that my machine become such a big dirty archive.
How it happens.
Of course, I strongly have believed that those nasty stuff belong to Windows
systems.
And Linux is immune to those worm, virus stuff.
So, I am going to format the computer and start to fresh install the system
again with Redhat 9.
I would like to ask of you if you don't mind.
I would like to have advice for installing Spamassasin with Redhat 9 and
Sendmail.
Or Spamassassin with Procmail on Redhat 9
also,
A recommendation for blocking those bad worm and virus on Redhat.
That would be grateful if someone replies with a kindness.
by the I check your email; I might be formatting the computer that is
infected.
so, send email to mtgeek2k at yahoo.com since I may not able to send and
receive email through my email.
Thanks in advance,
Joe Cho
