Strange network problem

Motherboard is a new ABIT VA-10 MB.
The two NICs I've tried are the onboard via-rhine
and the myson el-cheapo_rtl_like using the fealnx driver.
The Myson was working when I pulled it out.
I did try ping from the laptop. I could reach the gateway/firewall
but not the desktop.

Thanks,

Brian Densmore
