Lucas-
If you could get your traceroute information into a tabular format, you
could probably write a macro to have Visio draw it for you. If you did a
spreadsheet like:
Start hop1 hop2 hop3 hop4
CPU IP switch IP bridge IP router IP firewall IP
You could probably macro Visio to pluck items out of the columns in the
sheet and attach their IP's to objects and connect them. It's beyond my
abilities in macro-writing, but it is probably possible. The real question
is: would taking the time to program it to be done automatically be faster
than just doing it manually? How many diagrams do you have to do?
Thanks!

Does anyone know of a utility that's a sort of IP
Scanner/Traceroute/Visual utility that can scan a block of IP addresses,
traceroute them, and visually display a map of a network? (Like 'Here's
the internet, connected to this router, behind this PIX, to this switch,
etc...)
I need to map out a network here, and (in the end) convert it to a
Visio/OO.oDraw file, and would rather not have to physically trace wires
and map it out by hand.
