FATX, Help Needed

KCLUG-
I am a newbie to the group and need some help. I am an
aspiring "to be" linux user (re-live my EE student
days), however I don't have a linux machine right now.
I am going to be installing linux on my Microsoft
xbox (see http://xbox-linux.sourceforge.net), however,
in order to do this, I need a file copied to my USB
Flash Disk, which is FATX formatted.

Normally, I would probably do this myself, however, my
home machine is 2000 and it wants to format the flash
disk (doesn't recognize FATX). I have also looked into
creating a bootable linux CD for my home computer to
try to accomplish this myself, however, the bootable
CDs (or minimal system loads) only contain a 2.4
kernal. I believe that 2.5 or 2.6 kernal supports FATX
devices. I beg someone, with a 2.5 or 2.6 kernal, to
help me out.

I would prefer if someone could copy the file onto my
flash disk, and then I'll go about my merry way
(install linux, tweak it, etc) and present the results
to the group.

(See this for more
info: http://unmodded.mine.nu/docs/MechInstaller).

This is going to be neet little project I am working
on, however, I just can't seem to get it off the
ground due to this FATX stuff.

Thanks for your help.
Brian
