Small Linux printer tweaking job

A local small business, recently migrated from SCO to another
Linux flavor, is now upgrading their Okidata lineprinter. Running into
problems _probably_ because the new printer defaults to proportional
fonts, not fixed spacing. Looks like a ten minute configuration tweak
somewhere, plus maybe a couple hours probing through some documents
if you don't already know what you're doing.

The system maintainer doesn't want to hassle with it, and it's a client
so I ethically can't. Please contact me offlist if you recognize the problem
or feel comfortable tweaking printer output in Linux, and I will forward
your name/number as someone who will fix it for them. Paid, of course.

Thanks,

-Jared
