I would check out the man page for rpm: # man rpm .

It's really not that different from what you are used to on Windows.
It's just a matter of getting used to the places that things are kept
and something we call "circular dependacies" which is when 2 RPM's each
specify that the other has to be installed before it can be installed.
In that case, you just place both RPMs on the same command line and it's
resolved that way. You will eventually run in to some limitations of RPM
with regard to it's handling of major upgrades from version to version
- -- that's a ways off though. Don't worry about that, now.

Arson. It's included with KDE. Another SUSE user recently posted here
that he couldn't find it. I suggested checking out some SUSE software
resources on the internet to see if he could find it. I haven't heard
what the result of that search was.

| and 3: Are these typical issues addressed in your meetings, or are the
| meetings devoted to deeper subjects only?

The meetings are really a big conglomeration of all things. We talk
about Linux quite a bit at the actual meeting at the library -- often
there are many people willing to answer questions. The meeting after the
meeting consists mostly of chit-chat about the IT industry and things
related and unrelated. All are welcome. ... except maybe Darl McBride. :)
