That's a half mile from my house, at 3002 West 47th AVENUE (heh), Kansas
City, KS

It's at the NE corner of 47th Avenue/Street and Mission Road. If you're
coming south from downtown, just take the Mission Road exit from I-35, get
in the right lane going up the hill to avoid the left-turning traffic on
43rd, and turn left into the gas station parking lot just before 47th - the
gas station/convenience store occupies one end of the Oklahoma Joe's
building, and they have a common entry door.

If you're coming from the southwest, get off I-35 at 18th Street/Roe Ave.
southbound, get in the leftmost lane as soon as you can, and turn left on
48th Street, go straight through the intersection with Roe Lane, where 48th
becomes 47th on its way up the hill to assume its split personality as
County Line Road. The next light is Mission Road - go through that light
and turn left into the parking lot.

Good BBQ, and I don't just say that because my elder daughter's first job
was there. They have the banners on the wall, and the trophies for winning
various competitions to prove they're one of the best in town.

That having been said, down the hill on Southwest Blvd, west of 7th
Street/Rainbow Blvd, is Rosedale BBQ, and it is pretty darned good, too.
You may need a sommelier to know what kind of wine goes best with which
entree a fancy restaurant, but they seem to be about the only place to know
the best beverage to go with BBQ is RC Cola. They've been around since
forever.
