Yes, I googled and I'm troubleshooting mgetty on my Linux box at work.  I'll
attack it later this morning and let the list know how I'm doing.

Hi Jon,

You have't affended me.

I for one don't have any experience with Linux using a modem.  I, as I
believe most of the folks (locally) here are cable based geeks.

Have you googled for a linux-modem HOWTO?
