I had to do this. I did a RH7.2 install to a couple re-purposed Intel
INS-1020's (1U web servers, with an Intel-modified RH6.2 from the
factory). For some reason, grub refused to boot on these systems, so I
hooked up a floppy, booted to the fresh install, and installed LILO on
top of grub. As mentioned above, it's a simple "run lilo" process, at
least once you've created an appropriate config file :-)

Easier than doing a complete re-install just to switch boot-loaders.

BTW: Warning for RedHat 7.x LILO users. Apparently, the lilo config
doesn't get updated properly if you're using LILO and you use RPM to
update the kernel. I've experienced this on RH7.1 and 7.2. This bug is
reportedly fixed in RH7.3, but I haven't tried it yet (or checked if the
grub shipped with 7.3 will boot on my Intel INS-1020's).
