Hi All,

That was true when I installed cable for American
Cablevision (now TWC) in 1987. HBO, Showtime & Cinamax
were blocked by the cylinder shaped traps. On the
other hand, the Disney Channel was de-scrambled by
installing a filter that looked identical.

When TWC changed their technology in the early 90's
and offered the AXS package, all the little filters
and traps went away in favor of required cable boxes
for anything other than basic cable.

Best,
Bob Kennedy
