CD-RW

I think I need a new CD-RW because mine has been making some FUNKY noises
lately and seems to be causing some problems with my system.  I saw a Pine
Technologies 32x10x40(or 48) at Sam's for $89 and was wondering if anyone
has any experience with this brand of hardware at all.  I can't find
anything that says "This will not work with Linux" on their site or on the
net, but I can't find anything that says "This WILL work with Linux" either.
