Distro of the day . . .

I actually had less problems getting 2.4.1 running than 2.4.0.
Along the way of upgrading damn near everything to get 2.4.*
running I must have finally gotten enough stuff to be able to
boot... That and 2.4.1 has ReiserFS, which I wanted to play
with but I decided to wait until the officially 'blessed'
version came out.

I can't really tell about the stability, etc. at this point since
it's only been running for 14 hours but the changelogs
seemed pretty benign, so I don't expect problems. Not to
say that I won't upgrade to 2.4.2...

I think that a few distros have had some of the 2.4.0pre*
stuff shipping as an alternate kernel for a while, so it may
be a lot easier to upgrade one of those than my old
RedHat system...

So it goes, onward and upward, life is fun...

Later,

    Tony
