PHP

I just stumbled on this a few days ago.  Visit http://gtk.php.net  All of
the examples they include in the PHP-GTK distribution run as stand-alone
applications running on the PHP-GTK engine (i.e. outside of a web browser).
Though it is in development, I think the idea is great.
