Samba -- the urge hits me again

It seems I read something about the encrypted password thing being the
holdup.   Probably due to MS using some proprietary format and not sharing.
Big surprise there!  I think if you just try turning off the encrypted
passwords you will find it works.   I seem to also remember that Windows 95
had this problem for a while, but 98 did not.
