BTW, the reason I think you have to unmount and start over is that Mount
looks at, and records the file structure of the targetted media
(floppy/CDROM, etc. as referenced in Osbourne's "the Complete Reference:
LINUX, Third Edition").  According to the book, this is why you -should- get
an error message if you mount a floppy, then replace the floppy and try to
access the same mount.  It sees something other than what it expects and
craps out.

I'm comparing the replacement of the floppy with the changing of the CD
slots.
