Probably a fiery chat group or nuke page related to this list. The 
email forum is too narrow to handle the overload if we started getting 
into politics. Geeks do not all agree, and then people talking
about God and pretty soon you have an idle chat group that
talks about the weather, not a focused tech group where deep
knowledgebases are shared efficiently.

The Linux kernel list doesn't get into politics easily, either.

You could use a .sig with a link to your favorite political 
rant and nobody would complain, and some would benefit.
