One more stupid question (No route to host)

Ok. Finally found the problem. Cables and NICs are ok
but, some ports on the hub are malfunctioning. I
started pluging and unpluging from port to port and
found out that some of the ports on the hub don't work
eventhough it shows the connection light 'ON'.
