Ahhh, the 'head in the sand' method of security. This is the same kind
of attitude that brought us the Y2K boondoggle. Remember, you are not
invisible just because they can't see youir eyes. This is a completely
ineffective approach to stop the hacking. But then so is a "No
Tresspassing" sign if you aren't willing to enforce the no tresspassing
policy. If the bad guys know that you are never around, the sign
becomes useless as a deterent.
Security scripts and patches are only part of the process of securing a
system. If you are not willing to call the cops when he bad guys break
the law, the laws are useless.
