Below is the job description for the Systems Administrator opening at
TVH.  Partial remote work from home with an ongoing rotation of 1 week
onsite and then 2 weeks working off site.  This is an 8 month contract
with possible extensions or conversion to a permanent employee.  TVH is
located in Olathe KS.  Please let me know if you know anyone who would
be interested in this opening.

 From the manager:   We have quite a few technologies in our environment
that we support (Windows Servers, VMware, Storage and Backups, AD, DNS,
some Linux/Kubernetes/Ansible, etc). Also a lot of datacenter and on
prem support and not as much work in the Cloud.  Linux, Kubernetes, and
Ansible are really nice to have skills.

Candidates should be able to cover the core data center services:

  	* Server Management (Windows, Linux, File Management, VMWare ESX,
VXRails) working with 3rd party Managed Service Provider
	* Storage and Backup Management (including weekly tapes)
	* Core Network general understanding (working with the Network
Engineers)
	* Onsite Support in a physical datacenter
	* Application Management (AD, DNS, DHCP, Horizon platform management,
IPAM, DCIM, Kubernetes)
	* Database Management
	* Middleware Support (Application Support, Ansible)

Job Description:

Senior team member responsible for driving initiatives and projects
related to the design, implementation of support of server, storage, and
application environments. Takes ownership of various operational
environments, both internally and externally hosted, ensuring highest
levels of performance, stability, and security. Work with team members
and vendors to develop technology strategy and implement chosen
solutions.

* Manages all aspects of the Data Center's servers, storage and
application processing and develops recommendations for new or enhanced
systems, services, and technologies throughout the company.
* Design, engineer, coordinate, test and implement enhancements or new
releases of the Operating Systems, Servers, and Storage environments.
* Leverage advanced systems knowledge in the planning, provisioning,
configuring, monitoring, load-balancing, and backup/recovery of physical
servers and VM servers. (Windows, Linux, VMware VSphere, VMware
Horizons, Citrix, etc.).
* Performs troubleshooting of advanced and/or complex problems,
failures, and questions and responds with a proper resolution within the
specified timeline.
* Provide leadership and take ownership for complex or advanced tasks
and/or projects.
* Act as primary owner of backup and disaster recovery plans.
* Owns the design and training of less experienced team members on
Active Directory, backup procedures, security permissions etc.
* Performs general network connectivity trouble shooting as it pertains
to server/storage communications and performance.
* Handles performance monitoring and capacity planning including
setup/admin of monitoring solution, setting of alerts, proactive checks
of server/storage performance and capacity.
* Handles administration, integration, and management of cloud-based
services including Gmail, cloud faxing, hosted servers.
* Responds to issues, questions, failures, and requests for new
services/equipment
* Participate in weekly on-call rotation, and after hours support if/as
needed.
* Participate, collaborate, and communicate as part of our global,
distributed Infrastructure Team.
* Demonstrates proficient extensive knowledge of Microsoft technology
implementation, configuration and support including Active Directory,
MSMQ, DFS, IIS and related services

Work Environment:

Will be working in a one week on site and two weeks off site rotating
work schedule.
