I agree that some of what goes on the list is less than mature.  But
I'm guessing that you already know that the noise generated by a few
is not necessarily indicative of "the way that most well-versed Linux
users are".  Every culture struggles to learn how to deal with its
children, and if some of those children aren't fully socialized by the
time they become young adults, that struggle continues.  I would
encourage you not to judge an entire culture by the least mature
members, even if those members are among the loudest.
