Philip,

Thanks for the link to the instructions.  I tried them previously and
experienced great difficulty opening the drive.  As stated before, I have
a nasty tendency to destroy various pieces of equipment attempting to take
them apart.  So my offer for assistance in repairing the drive still
stands.
