gmail fetching comcast

does anyone have any experience with using gmail to fetch email from
comcast's POP servers?

I'm getting ready to do this for a friend, and he doesn't have access to the
comcast account until next week.

I wondered if anyone has done this and if there are any peculiarities that I
should know about
