Gentoo has a nice profile for a pure 64-bit system. Everything works just as 
it would on a 32-bit system, except that it takes advantage of the 64-bit 
registers, larger pointer sizes, etc. The only real exceptions are 
proprietary stuff that can't be recompiled for 64-bit, but I couldn't care 
less since I don't run that stuff anyway :)
