Thats one reason I love the ubuntu mentality , its all the same core , 
just basicly diffrent DE and Preinstalled App's ( but easy to grab other 
DE's too via easy meta packages like apt-get install kubuntu-desktop / 
xubuntu-desktop etc etc etc )
