Problems with Gentoo stage 1 install

I snipped all irrelevant information. Based on what you are telling us
above, both your Windows XP and your Linux systems should be able to see
the internet WITHOUT any sort of knowledge of the ADSL. This is because
the Linksys router acts as a sort of 'mediator' ... it does its
authentication and then provides standard TCP/IP to the rest of the
network. Is this not the case?
