Excuse me if I haven't kept up, but UML is Unified Modeling Language.  Correct?  I fail to see how a relative of XML and SGML can be helpful in this situation.  http://www.uml.org/  http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=UML&btnG=Google+Search
Are you possibly referring to User-Mode Linux?  That is the only thing that comes close to the discussion at hand.  http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/
