TVs usually work at a specific resolution and refresh rate. You need to change to these values for
your output. I can't remember off the top of my head, but some of the TV PVR sites will have those
values. check mythtv.org
It's something close to 640x480 and 60 Hz, but not exactly. Here we go, 320x240, 60Hz. The
refresh rate for TVs is lower than that of Monitors

Here's one example:
>> Section "Monitor"
>> Identifier "NTSC Monitor"
>> VendorName "SONY"
>> ModelName "TV OUT"
>> HorizSync 30-68
>> VertRefresh 50-120
>> Mode "720x480"
>> # D: 34.563 MHZ, H: 37.244 kHz, V: 73.897 Hz
>> DotClock 34.564
>> HTimings 720 752 840 928
>> VTimings 480 484 488 504
>> Flags "-HSync" "-VSync"
>> EndMode
>> EndSection

I am wondering if there is any way to remove strong flashing from the tv
picture while watching? or if it would need to be pre recorded and then
removed automatically? manually? at a later date..
