Have you set Windows to enable text-based passwords? Or have you
configured the correct encryption on the Samba side? 

I have documentation I could send you on how to set Windows to enable
text-based passwords. Or you could google. Either way. Don't know if
that's the problem, but it's something I always forget when I configure
a new winclient on my network. 

And, yes, I know, it's a horrid security risk, text-based passwords...
