need good deal on a laptop for speech-control development

Yeah.  I got this exact system (except for 256mb ram and no printer) 
last Saturday at Best Buy for $600 after rebates for a brand new one.  I 
had to argue with two managers for about 15 minutes though.  They were 
out of stock and would not give me a raincheck.  They finally located 
one for me in Nebraska.  It will be here by Friday.

This is my recommended way to buy a laptop.  Call BestBuys, Circuit 
City, and other similar stores and ask about discontinued models, floor 
models, and highly discounted models.  In a week or two you'll find a 
really good deal.

Now I need to figure out exactly what type of RAM I can fit in it.  
Anyone know?  Here are the exact specs:
