Or, for more fun.

1. Open the box and try to find it on the network card, it might be there.

2. Use a network sniffing tool to grab the raw tcp/ip packets. It will 
be in there somewhere, too!

Or, perhaps, just do what everyone else said. Using ifconfig IS a lot 
simpler, if you like simple. :)
