That doesn't mean that there is an LDAP authentication system set up with a
schema that matches any other existing application or directory server, nor
that it will correctly authenticate to an NMB network without major work, as
Kris has aparantly found.

As another network administrator who's actually had to work with centralized
authority control on small networks, I have to agree with Kris that while lots
of packages make big promises, very few actually deliver to
user/administrators who aren't involved with the development team.
