Hi All,
Not intending to start anything, but...
I started with Red Hat 6.x & 7. It was not too bad for
new users. Personally I think Suse is better for the
totally new user. (Especially if your experience is
GUI only.)
Now if you are also SU/Root, Suse Pro, at least, does
not (did not?) provide a full set of GUI tools for the
Root user.
Now join in the fun.
