Linux on Compaq Presario 1400

I was able to install Debian 3.0 on the laptop. Kernel
2.2 was able to detect the network card but 2.4
couldn't. I know there are some tweaks to get this
kernel work with the laptop's NIC but I was in a hurry
to get this install working for me. I will be
compiling a newer kernel with the updated driver
later. Thanks to everyone for your help.
