Suspected NIC problems

Hello:

I am experiencing some problems with my webserver:
Sometimes it responds well to all requests but,
sometimes it times out. I am suspecting that the NIC
is causing the problems. I don't have any firewall
installed on the server. I ran ifconfig and noticed
that there were a lot of errors:

Is my suspection correct?
