I recommend this too also it doesn't work for my particular hardware
configuration. :(
I get a hundred unusable VESA settings on my old NEC VESA Multisync
Monitor. Although it was also easy to configure XFree86 3.x with that
monitor. I always had X work out of the box until 4.0 came out.
