Hard drives, quality (IDE vs SCSI call for True Stories)

The only time I have ever lost a HD was when it was DOA or I bought it
used. My original 20 MB MFM drive still functions (or would if I were to
dust it off and plug it in). And it is 20 years old. Of course IDE is
better, and SCSI is just real high performance. For mission critical I'd
still recommend SCSI ...
iff you've got the bucks. I see no problem in using IDE for a RAID
configuration. Of course, when it comes to HDs I spend the money and get
the best quality drive I can afford. So my recommendation is don't buy
the cheapest of the product line, but head more toward the upper end.
