Oh, this would be incredibly easy.  What could be more complicated than
throwing a few radios on the cable?

But then I remember trying to get a simple wireless card installed on my
mom's Windows 98 box.  After a few dozen reboots, we got it to work.  
Sort of.  And the extra software and drivers on the disk seemed to slow
the computer down.  And why did the printer no longer work?  

Let us scale my experiences up to thousands of different computer
configurations and I would imagine this might be a technical support
nightmare for the brightest of folks.  War with computer technology.

Its when I actually try to apply my dream of how things should work onto
other people's computers is when I start pulling my hair, kicking, and
screaming.  If anyone can pull something like this off, they have my
respect.

If only everything was easy as it was on my linux box...
