With apologies to those who are innocent,

The rampant dishonesty which is exposed on this LUG list is ethically
offensive and entirely opposed to the 'style' of Linus Torvalds, known well
for his humility and honesty. All of you who are taking advantage of Logitech 
are bringing a negative impression to those outside the Linux community,
including agents who lurk on these lists looking for criminals. I wish
you would not celebrate thievery on a public list. I wish you would not
celebrate it privately either, but can do nothing about that.

If you even begin to argue that it was "legitimate prize-winning" then
you shamelessly missed the point of this e-mail, which is a call to honesty.
As for those of you who were trying to get a cellphone for free,
I'm sorry to be associated with you. And for those of you who were
expressing paranoid views regarding jose's wardriving--you deserve your
paranoia. As for me, I sleep well at night because I work hard to tell
the truth, even when it has dire consequences.

I used to be paranoid. Now I'm not. Paranoia is for amateurs.

It exists only in the minds of people who do not tell the truth.

p.s. I don't lose my temper over people who are dishonest. I lose my
temper over people who are dishonest and then trumpet it, or
those who are dishonest and then deny it. Dishonesty happens
to everyone; denial is plotted by a few.
