cool linux projects

What cool stuff have you done with linux lately?  I'm curious at to what
all you folks are using our favorite OS to do.  I for example have a
linux powered car audio system.  I recall seeing some mention of Tivo
type tv capture systems on the list in the past.  Please chime in if you
are using Linux to power anything cool, from clustered web apps to
automatic dog watering and plant feeding.
