Hi All,

(This is a re-send. The first seems to have vanished
in the list's downtime.)

My agency uses the reader program JAWS for our
visually impaired folks. It seems to work fine for
most Windows based stuff. (We're migrating as we speak
from WinNT to 2000 Pro.)

Much of the agency's work is done via mainframes. A
few years ago the original TAP terminals were replaced
by PC's running some sort of terminal emulation. It is
here that JAWS seems to have problems.

I've been told more than once that the best reader
programs are on Linux. (Told by people who don't care
what operating system sits under the reader. They just
want it to work well.)

Can anyone point me to a reader program with the
ability to work with both mainframe & desktop
material? Something that has been, or could be ported
to Windows.

If more information is needed, tell me what questions
to ask and I'll get digging.

Best,

Bob Kennedy

p.s. I didn't have a whole lot of luck using Google.
