ntpd has been running since it was powered up.  Perhaps this has something 
to do with daylights savings time...

When I noticed the uptime was not possible, the first thing I suspected
was an intrusion.  The logs are tailed through a shell on another computer
and did not notice any odd connection attempts.  The open ports of ssh,
postfix mta, and apache have been updated to the latest versions.  I
checked the md5sums of the tarballs from another computer to be correct.  

One of these days I'll solve this mystery.
